Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 13, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how SimpleQ (“SimpleQ,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and discloses information when you visit our website, sign up for an account, or use our services (collectively, the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to this Policy.
1. Information we collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account information — name, email, company, role, and authentication credentials you provide during signup.
- Billing information — payment method details processed by our payment processor (we do not store full card numbers).
- Usage information — job executions, API calls, connector usage, logs, error reports, and other diagnostic data generated as you use the Service.
- Customer Data — data you submit to the Service to be queued, processed, or delivered (for example, payloads, webhook bodies, and connector arguments).
- Device and log data — IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, and timestamps collected automatically when you access the Service.
2. How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- provide, maintain, and improve the Service;
- authenticate users and prevent abuse;
- process payments and manage your subscription;
- respond to support requests and other communications;
- send service-related announcements, security notices, and (where permitted) marketing communications you can opt out of;
- comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
3. Legal bases (GDPR)
If you are in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we process your personal data on the following legal bases:
- Performance of a contract — to provide the Service to you.
- Legitimate interests — to secure the Service, prevent fraud, and improve our product.
- Consent — where required, for example for certain marketing communications.
- Legal obligation — to comply with applicable law.
4. How we share information
We do not sell personal information. We share information with:
- Service providers — vendors that host our infrastructure, process payments, deliver email, and provide analytics and observability tooling, in each case under contractual confidentiality and data protection obligations.
- Third-party providers you connect — when you configure a connector (for example, OpenAI, Twilio, or a webhook endpoint), we transmit relevant Customer Data to that provider on your instructions.
- Legal and safety — when required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of SimpleQ, our users, or the public.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
5. International data transfers
SimpleQ is based in the United States and our infrastructure may be located in the United States and other countries. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in jurisdictions that may have different data protection laws than your country. Where required, we use Standard Contractual Clauses or other lawful transfer mechanisms.
6. Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as your account is active and for the period necessary to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Job execution logs and Customer Data are retained according to the log retention applicable to your plan, after which they may be deleted.
7. Your rights (GDPR)
If you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. To exercise these rights, contact us at [email protected].
8. California privacy rights (CCPA / CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to:
- know what personal information we collect, the sources, the business purpose, and the third parties with whom it is shared;
- request deletion of your personal information;
- request correction of inaccurate personal information;
- opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information — note that SimpleQ does not sell personal information;
- non-discrimination for exercising any of your CCPA rights.
You may exercise these rights by emailing [email protected]. We will verify your request and respond within the timeframes required by law.
9. Cookies and analytics
We use a small number of essential cookies to operate the Service (for example, to keep you signed in) and limited analytics to understand product usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling essential cookies may affect the Service.
10. Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No system is completely secure; you are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential.
11. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post any changes on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or by email.
